Liners from these cars are suitable for the Imp block, though they will all need modifying or they won't fit.

NOTES | |||
The most important dimension is Dimension 'E' for a B1 Sunbeam Block it needs to be no less that 3.1299". For an Imp Block it needs to be no less than 3.0299" unless you need to go above 72.5mm Bore, in this case use the larger size.
All the above liners need modifying to fit the imp block. SEE DRAWING at BOTTOM OF PAGE
Dimensions for Liner CH 5326 20 | Dimensions for Imp Liner
A = 89.20mm (leave) | A = 3.385"
B = Bore | B = Bore | ||
C = 85.00mm | C = 2.150" | ||
D = 37.50mm (Mod) | D = 1.900"
E = 79.50 (3.1299") | E = ?"
You will also need to machine bigger flats on one side of each liner as they sit closer together in the Imp block (see drawing)
The Liners should stand 0.002"/0.003" proud of the Block face after all machining has been completed.
The PSA Group (Peugeot, Talbot and Citroen) have a nasty habit of changing engine parts without changing the engine type number. The Cylinder Liners in the table all utilise ONE rubber O ring to seal the water jacket from the crank case. Some of these engines use a liner with FOUR rubber O rings, due not use these liners the critical E is wrong.
After the Liners have been modified, they should be set into the prepared Imp/B1 block using Loctite 648 High Strength Retainer. You do not need to use a rubber O ring.
Use Imp Pistons! | |||
