Hi Darryl, Nick and others,

I've made a transaxle breather on an old box once and it worked fine no more oil spillage or anything.
(I was sick of all that oil on my drive after parking)
I drilled a hole in the top after cutting a hole in the floor at the back seat.
The hole which I drilled was on a domed part of the transaxle if i remember well.
I also experienced that still some oil came out when i mounted a small pipe so I extended it with a pigs tail pipe and it worked fine. I'm not sure but I also considered a bike tire valve but can't remember if I used this or not.

Hope this helps.

That's exactly what i did on my friend's Clan , drilled through the central tunnel , the glass fibre was 12 mm thick ... still threw the oil up the tube though , probably due to the expansion of the air inside as it warmed up .
