I was wondering if you could give me some advice, I have just been offered a 1971 Stiletto, in Gold Metallic, Black Vinyl Roof etc, only 21000 miles since new, and 2 owners, one for 26 years!!, and then from the person who is now offering the car, it is apparently sound, excellent paint and mechanics, with overhauled brakes, carbs, only the bonnet has been resprayed, the interior as new. They are asking £1295 with 11 months MOT I am due to see it next Wednesday.
Can you advise if there any particular faults/points I should look for on a Stiletto, as I know very little about the mechanics on these types, it sounds like a good buy to me, what do you think, I reckon I can get it for £1100??
If I do buy it I will certainly be joining the Imp club, perhaps you could let me know who I contact to join??.
Thanks for your time and look forward to hearing from you.

Where are you, if you tell me your address I will tell you your nearest area meet and when to go.
With ragards to the stilleto sounds like a reasonable price prviding no floor pan rust whats the milage?, useual engin checks.
Take a close look at the bonnet for filler at the front and useual sill checks and rust checks.
Prone to head worping if cooling is neglected is the cooling system sound
