Mary bought this car from the family of the original owner nearly 24 years ago and
along with a few special tools we also have the original bill of sale. This shows that in
March 1970 it cost £669. 11s 8d (about £669.55p) and included 6 gallons of petrol
for £1.95p!. (Mary paid £600 in 1990)
This car is unusual in that it is one of the very few Ascot Grey Super Imps known to
the Imp club so is easily recognisable when we attend events.

For many years it was our everyday car, but has gradually been modified to make it
safer to use and to keep up with modern traffic, so it has

• a sport engine
• disc brakes
• Recaro seats
• 13inch alloy wheels
• and numerous electrical changes, including
  • hazard warning lights
  • rear fog light
  • intermittent wipers and
  • high level brake light.
